The Great Gatsby.

That is all.

I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.

Why couldn’t The Great Gatsby let all my dreams come true and have Nick Carraway and J. Gatsby end up together, who needs book accuracy.

When I saw this movie in theater I cried… now let me explain myself, I’m not one to cry, but hear me out. I’ve read the book, I knew the ending was coming, I just wasn’t quite sure when. So as it was building up I was biting my nails, my cousin who was sitting beside me not knowing what I knew because… She doesn’t read. (her loss really) so when I saw it on the screen to me it was so cutting and cruel. No mistaking what was lost. It was devastating, but yet. That’s why I love books like it.
